American Rythm and Blues singer, Robert Sylvester Kelly, popularly known as R Kelly has been found guilty of multiple racketeering and sex trafficking charges following a searing 6-week trial in a New York courtroom.
He is now to be sentenced for exploiting his superstar status to run a scheme to sexually abuse women and children.
R Kelly had faced allegations for two decades but charges were not filed until victims gave TV interviews about the abuse they suffered from him.

Eleven accusers including 9 women and 2 men took the stand to describe sexual humiliation and violence they suffered in the hands of the music artiste.
He is to face decades behind bars but has right to appeal.
Kelly, one of the biggest music stars Chicago has ever produced, faces between 10 year jail term to life imprisonment when he is sentenced on May 4, 20222 according to the U.S. attorney’s office in Brooklyn.
