After one month in captivity, the village head and 36 others abducted from Garin Guga and Ungwar Galadima in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State, North-West Nigeria have regained their freedom.
Their release was made known by a local source from the area who took to his Facebook account to break the news.
Though he did not specify whether ransom was paid or not, the source only said, ” Today, 36 kidnapped victims and the village Guga have been released after a month in captivity today being Sunday, March 6″.
When contacted for comment, Police spokesperson, Gambo Isah said he will get across to the Divisional Police Officer of the area and revert.

Recall that on February 6, terrorists attacked Garin Guga and Ungwar Galadima in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State abducting the village head and 36 others.
It was also gathered that during the attack,12 persons were killed, with over 35 shops and market stalls burnt and looted.
