Report just coming in indicates that local communities in Tidibale Ward, Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State, have been forced to flee their homes following persistent insecurity.
A source told ait.live Correspondent that as of 13th January, 2026, residents of the affected communities have abandoned their villages and are seeking refuge in Isa town, where they are currently sheltering as Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
The scale of displacement according to the source suggests a significant deterioration in the local security situation.

He said, the continued threats have made it impossible for civilians to remain in their homes, prompting a mass movement towards areas perceived to be relatively safer.
The conditions facing the displaced population in Isa town remain unclear at this time, including access to shelter, food, and medical assistance.
Authorities and security Agencies are yet to issue an official statement, while humanitarian concerns are mounting as the number of displaced persons continues to grow.
ait.live is yet to independently confirm this report.
