The Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Justice Salisu Garba has been appointed as the Administrator of the National Judicial Institute (NJI).
Justice Garba who voluntarily retired from office succeeds Justice Rosaline Bozimo (Rtd), whose tenure as the Administrator of the Institute ended on the 31st July 2021.
This was made known in a press statement issued by the CJN Senior Special Assistant on Media, Ahuraka Isah after the National Judicial Institute Board of Governors’s meeting.
The appointment which takes effect from 1st August 2021 is for three years, from the date of appointment.

Justice Garba was sworn in as the FCT Chief Judge on June 7 2021 and would have been due to retire by October 10th this year when he would have attained the mandatory retirement age of 65 years.
Born on October 10th, 1956, and hails from Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State . He was called to the Nigerian bar in 1984 and started his judicial carrier in 1989.
