The Kaduna State House of Assembly has dismissed the recent press conference by senior officials from Nasir El-Rufai’s administration, calling it ‘baseless’ as it failed to address the real issues which are the alleged mismanagement and looting of Kaduna State’s resources through fake contracts.
A statement from Barrister Henry Magaji, chairman of the probe committee, the assembly revealed that it conducted a thorough investigation into the massive debts incurred by the previous administration, which did not match the number of completed projects.
The Assembly advised the former officials to focus on preparing their defenses for upcoming investigations and court cases regarding accusations of corruption, abuse of office, and disregard for the law.

The statement emphasized that only anti-corruption agencies can validate or disprove the Assembly’s findings, and not individuals who allegedly exploited the State’s resources for personal gain.
The Assembly also noted that it is currently in court with Nasir El-Rufai over issues of fair hearing and will not comment further on the matter as it is under judicial consideration.
It reaffirmed its commitment to the rule of law and due process.
