Local Government chapter chairmen of the Labour Party in Kaduna State have called for unity among party members and support for the leadership of the National Caretaker Committee led by Nenadi Usman.
Labour Party Chairman of Chikun Local Government area of the state, Abraham Yerima made the call at a news conference in Kaduna.
He highlighted her track record of hard work, integrity, and vast political experience – qualities he says will be instrumental in restructuring the Labour Party.
Yerima also emphasized Nenadi Usman’s ability to organize inclusive congresses at all levels, from the ward to the national convention, stressing that her leadership would strengthen the party’s foundation and steer it towards success.
Other party members echoed these sentiments, reaffirming their support for the caretaker committee and pledging continued dedication to advancing the Labour Party’s mission across Nigeria.
The chairmen also praised the outgoing National and State Executives for their contributions during the 2023 elections and commended party stakeholders who met in Umuahia to resolve internal crises by appointing the caretaker committee to oversee the party’s affairs.
