Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike on Tuesday night held closed-door meeting with 17 Governorship candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Port Harcourt, South-South Nigeria.
Speaking at the end of the meeting, which is seen as part of efforts by key players in the PDP to resolve the post convention crisis now rocking the party, the Governorship candidate in Kaduna State, Isa Mohammed Ashiru says that as far as he is concerned, the post-convention issues have been resolved in the opposition party.

The PDP Governorship candidates arrived the Ada George Road country home of the Governor Wike in Rumuepirikom, Obio Akpor Local Government Area at about 8:47 pm and were joined by their counterpart in Rivers State, Siminalayi Funbara.
Governor Wike arrived for the meeting moments later and the doors were immediately shut.
The visit which is coming a few days after they met with the Presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar can be seen as part of efforts by key players in the PDP to resolve the crisis in the party and unite members, before the start of campaigns later this month.

Governor Wike and the PDP candidates emerged from the closed-door meeting over three hours later.
Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, the PDP Governorship Candidate in Kaduna State, Isa Mohammed Ashiru says the talks were fruitful.
And when quizzed further, Ashiru announced that the crisis has been resolved between the party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and Governor Nyesom Wike.
