The Kaduna State government has released disturbing statistics which indicate that about 323 persons have been killed in the State in the first quarter of 2021.
The report also revealed that 949 persons were kidnapped in the State within the same period.
The Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, released the statistics at the presentation of the 1st Quarter Security Report at the State Security Council Meeting on Friday.
The Commissioner said all the deaths in the period under review were linked to banditry, communal clashes and reprisal attacks.

Reacting to the report, Governor Nasir El-Rufai expressed regrets that schools in the State have become targets for the bandit.
El-rufai added that security operatives in the country need a lot of logistic support, for them to effectively discharge their constitutional responsibility.
