Kaduna State Government has debunked reports of a crisis in Kagarko Local Government Area, following social media claims of clashes between farmers and herders there.
This follows a peace meeting that brought together traditional rulers, security agencies, and community leaders in Kagarko aimed at reaffirming peace and stability in the area.
Some women had earlier visited the Paramount Ruler of Kagarko to express concern over cattle grazing on their farmlands, sparking rumours of a crisis.
But residents say the situation never escalated into violence.

The Paramount Ruler of Kagarko, Yohana Kaito dismissed the reports as misinformation, noting that Kagarko remains a model of peaceful coexistence in Southern Kaduna.
Representatives of the Kaduna State Government reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining peace across all communities, emphasizing proactive engagement to resolve disputes before they escalate.
Security operatives also assured residents of continued collaboration with local leaders to strengthen trust and early warning mechanisms for conflict prevention.
