In what is described as the biggest political defection in Kaduna’s history, Governor Uba Sani has officially received over 50,000 decampees from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP and other political groups into the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The atmosphere at Murtala Square where the event took place was electric as party leaders, loyalists, and supporters thronged the venue in their thousands, cheering as Governor Sani formally welcomed the decampees into APC.

In a symbolic gesture, party flags were presented to the decampees, signifying their full integration into the ruling party.

Speaking on behalf of the new members, Hussaini Jallo described the APC under Governor Uba Sani as inclusive and progressive, assuring that the decampees are ready to contribute to the party’s continued growth and success in Kaduna State.

In their separate remarks, APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajuddeen Abbas, applauded Governor Uba Sani’s leadership, describing the massive defection as a testament to his commitment to peace, good governance, and inclusivity in Kaduna State.

They assured the new members of equal opportunities and a level playing field within the party.

Governor Uba Sani reaffirmed that the APC remains a family built on fairness, justice, and inclusivity, assuring the decampees that they will enjoy the same privileges and rights as every other member.

With 50,000 new members pledging allegiance to the APC, the ruling party appears poised to consolidate its strength ahead of future political contests.
