24 people were reported killed by armed men in the early hours of Tuesday in six different communities in Ayap chiefdom in Zango Kataf local government area of Kaduna state.
Public relations officer of the Atyap community development association ACDA Marcos Pius who spoke to ait.live said the armed men came in large numbers with dangerous weapons shooting sporadically and split them selves into various groups to attack six communities at the same time, killing and leaving several others injured.

The villages that suffered the attacks include Kachechere, Kakwa, Magamiya, and Abuyap.
ACDA PRO said attacks have been going on in the chiefdom since last week but without the government making efforts to address the situation.
The latest attack comes a day after suspected armed bandits attacked Makarau-Jankasa in the same chiefdom in the early hours of Monday and left 9 persons killed.
