Archdeacon of the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Anglican Diocese of Kafanchan in Kaduna State, North-West Nigeria, Yakubu Dauda, wants the government to as a matter of urgency provide relief materials to the victims of recent attack that killed 40 people in Malagum and some villages in Kaura Local Government Area.
While condemning the deadly attack, Dauda called for immediate arrest of the terrorists who carried out the killings.
The clergyman made the call during the Christmas Thanksgiving Service where he prayed to God for hope, peace, and unity in Nigeria and urged the people to vote wisely in the 2023 elections.

Archdeacon Dauda believes that if politicians, traditional leaders, and religious leaders from diverse ethnic groups will promote national unity in their localities, Nigeria will be a better place for everyone.
Meanwhile, an elder in the church, Ibrahim Namadi appealed to the people of Southern Kaduna to assist the security operatives with relevant information to maintain peace and orderliness in the area.
