Controversial Kano cleric Sheikh Abduljabbar Nasiru kabara has withdrawn a fundemental right suit he filed at Federal High Court Kano challenging his suspension from preaching by Kano state government.
The Islamic cleric was banned by the Kano state government from preaching. His schools and mosques were also closed.
This action by the Kano state government followed complaints by some Islamic clerics in the state against the methods of his controvertial preaching considered damaging to the reputation of Islam and not compatible with the teachings of Holy Prophet Muhammad.
Sheikh Abduljabbar approached the court seeking for remedy.

However at the resumed hearing on the matter, Counsel for the sheikh told the court that they are withdrawing the case and prefer out of court settlement with the Kano state government.
The trial Judge, Justice Lewis Allagoa consequently struct out the case. Bakore told the court on Thursday that his client has opted for settlement with the state government instead of the unnecessary legal confrontation
