The Police say that joint security agencies in Kano State have in their possession intelligence report that some miscreants are planning to unleash terror in important places in the state as a result of the current disagreement over the stool of the Emir of Kano.

Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Gumel who briefed journalists late Sunday night named the House of Assembly as one of the facilities being targeted. He added that other government facilities and individuals are also being targeted.

The security agencies have being from one location to another, gathering information as regards the current tussle over who occupies the palace.

CP Gumel however says an action plan has been activated to deal with trouble makers if they fail to retreat.

At about 4pm on Sunday, a group of youths with soft spots for the 15th Emir, Aminu Ado Bayero took over the popular State Road in protest, asking the State Government to obey the court order restraining it from reinstating Sanusi Lamido as Emir of Kano.
