Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf has presented a N549,000,000,000(Five hundred and forty nine billion naira) budget proposal to the State House of Assembly.
The estimates include three hundred and twelve billion for capital projects and two hundred and thirty-six billion naira for recurrent expenditure.
Presenting the budget tagged, budget of hope, human capital and economic development before the lawmakers, Governor Abba Yusuf said the welfare of the people will be given proper attention when implemented.
He said laudable achievements were made in the outgoing year and with a seventy-seven percent budget Implementation for the year, greater socio-economic achievements will be made in new fiscal year
As was the case of the 2024 budget, the education sector received the highest allocation.
