Kano Government has banned some mixed social activities in the state particularly men and women swimming together in a pool as a way of preventing immorality and social vices
The essence according to the government is to instill morality especially among underage children and youths.
Chairman of the Kano State Task Force on Tourism Development Levy, Baffa Dan Agundi in a press release said the government has also banned underage children from going to hotels because of the effect it might have on them with such indecent exposure.
The agency also banned shisha smoking, lesbianism and gay practices in the state especially among underage children.

Dan Agundi said owners of hotels, restaurants, and event centers have been briefed about the recent development and they are to adhere to the directives stated by the government.
He said the committee will further oversee the activities of DJs at wedding ceremonies and event centres and all events centres should be closed by 11pm.
You will recall that the same Kano Goverment had earlier banned persons of opposite genders from plying the same tricycle in the state
