Kano State Government has reiterated its commitment to improving the health facilities to international standards, and make them available to the people.
Governor Abdullahi Ganduje said this while commissioning the Rano Emirate Specialist Hospital. Rano Emirate is one of the four newly created emirates in Kano consisting of ten local government areas.
The hospital which previously had less than one hundred beds now has been upgraded to four hundred bed-capacity, as well as an increased number of wards.
The state government has been urged to consider the timely release of approved funds for routine immunisation, to improve the service in the state.
The new facilities introduced at the upgraded hospital include, dental clinic, eye clinic, ear, nose and throat clinic and a modern laboratory.
