Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has sworn in the newly elected council chairmen for the forty-four local government areas of the state following their victory in Saturday’s election.
The governor who charged them to be prudent and put the welfare of the people above themselves and urged them to give account of their stewardship here on earth or before their creator.
One after another, the newly elected chairmen take their oath of office and allegiance to Nigeria’s constitution before the governor, party supporters and family members.

Governor Yusuf charges the chairmen to be responsible enough to put the plight of the people first by addressing their social and developmental needs.
The governor wants them to hit the ground running by proceeding immediately to inaugurate the legislative arm.
Six political parties participated in the election held on Saturday, as the Kano State Independent Electoral Commission declared the NNPP winner for all chairmanship and counselors positions.
