Briefing journalists at the end of the state executive council meeting chaired by governor Abba Yusuf, Commissioner for land and physical planning says, Kano state has resolved to adopt full computerization of its land administration, using the geographic information system technology.
The commissioner outlines major advantages the state stands to benefit using the GIS technology
It is hoped that the adoption of Geographical information system technology will facilitate timely title registration, provide tenure security, ease land application processes and information sharing, facilitate land transactions and reduce corruption associated with land dealings.
