The Kano State Judiciary says it is currently working towards establishing Special Courts to adjudicate on gender-based violence, aimed at ensuring the speedy dispensation of justice.
Kano State Chief Judge, Justice Dije Aboki, made this known at the National Executive Council Meeting of the Federation of International Lawyers, Nigerian Chapter, held in Kano.
Also speaking, the Kano State Attorney General, represented by the Director Civil Rights, Kano State Ministry for Justice, Barrister Hussein Hussein, said the Kano State Government is actively exploring initiatives to bridge the gap in legal access for indigent women and children.
