Kano State may in the next few years become the highest producer of qualified health professionals in new specialized areas, that would significantly address the health challenges in the North West and the country at large.
This follows the return of fifty-four state sponsored post graduate students who recently completed their studies from symbiosis university India in medical and pharmaceutical related disciplines.
The Aircraft that conveyed the fifty four medical scholars from India touched down at the Aminu Kano International Airport Kano to the warm embrace of their loved ones.

After one year of rigorous studies at the symbiosis university India, in relatively new medical specializations , Aisha Lamido and fifty-three others, who are beneficiaries of Kano state government’s scholarship scheme are back to add value to the state’s medical demand.
Like their parents and loved ones, Governor Abba Yusuf shares in their accomplishments at a colourful reception in their honour, with offer of immediate employment to them.
There is a strong advocacy for the continuation of the scholarship programme
