The Sharia Courts of Kano have been in the news recently over missing money.
The Chief Registrar said 100 million Naira was first withdrawn from the account before another 300 million was taken out of the account.
He said they only noticed the missing money when they were about to meet some financial obligations and discovered only nine million Naira left in the account.
When asked about the signatories to the accounts, the Chief Registrar said he and the Director of Finance were signatories to both accounts and claimed that both signatures were forged by the fraudsters.
Their numbers were disconnected from receiving bank alerts of the transaction
The matter is already before the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, for further investigation.
