Kano State Government has tendered an unreserved apology to the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu for accusing him of fueling the crisis in the state by “smuggling” in the deposed emir, Aminu Ado Bayero into Kano.
The apology came at a midnight briefing by the Deputy Governor, Abdulsalam Gwarzo, who also said the State Government did not err by reinstating Emir Muhammad Sanusi II because it has not received any court order restraining it.
The main subject of the briefing at about 2:45am by the Deputy Governor of Kano state, Abdulsalam Gwarzo, is to inform Nigerians that the State Government did not get any court order stopping its reinstatement of Emir Sanusi II and talk more of disobeying it.
An unreserved apology was tendered to the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu over allegation he and his office are aiding the former Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje to cause crisis in the state.
Gwarzo wants President Bola Tinubu to intervene in getting Aminu Ado Bayero out of the state adding that his continues stay at the Nasarawa House in Kano is a recipe for crisis.
On the other hand, there are indications that Emir Sanusi II has had his first traditional council meeting with over 40 district heads in attendance who paid allegiance to him, an indication that he has taken over reign at the emirate.
