Kano State Government has withdrawn the operational licenses it issued to private schools in the State.
The withdrawal may not be unconnected to the murder of a five year old pupil of Noble Kids Comprehensive school, Hanifa Abubakar, who was allegedly killed by her school proprietor.
In a statement made available to the journalists on Monday, the State Commissioner of Education, Sanusi Muhammad Kiru said a committee will soon be set up to monitor the operation of private schools in the state.
