The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA has warned that 362 vulnerable communities in 14 local government areas of Kano State, North-West Nigeria are at high risk of flooding.
NEMA Director-General, Zubaida Umar, made this known at a one-day stakeholders meeting held in Kano.

The Director-General, represented by NEMA Territorial Coordinator, Kano Office, Dr. Nuraddeen Abdullahi said the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency, NIHSA, has predicted a population of over 3.7 million is at risk of flooding in the state.
