The United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres has called for restraint by both India and Pakistan following resumption of hostilities between both countries following a terrorist attack in Indian-administered Kashmir which killed dozens
In a statement by his spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric, the UN scribe says he is concerned about the Indian military operations across the Line of Control and international border”.
This is a reference to the missile strikes on Pakistan territory and Pakistani-administered Kashmir by India.
Both India and Pakistan have nuclear weapons and as such, Guteress says, need to called to de-escalate.
