Lack of continuity in governance to implement policies and programmes of government has been attributed to the backwardness of Katsina State and the current state of the nation.
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Chairman in Katsina State, Salisu Majigiri said this while declaring his interest to contest the 2023 governorship seat.
He said the country is suffering as a result of abandoning the plans of late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua.
At a ceremony held in his Mashi Local Government Area, Majigiri said his focus is to bring back the lost glory of Katsina State, by revisiting the foundation laid by both the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua and former Governor Ibrahim Shema.
According to the governorship hopeful, he said within the first 100 days in office, if given the mandate, the state will witness tremendous changes from tackling insecurity head-on, to resettling the internally displaced persons roaming the streets back to farms, education and youth and women development.
He described the 7 years of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC as a waste, without meaningful impact on the lives of the people.
Majigiri said the forms were purchased for him by some PDP likeminds under the leadership of Hamisu Gambo in company of some state working committee of the party, friends and party loyalists from his hometown.
