The Police in Katsina have confirmed a fresh bandits’ attack on Duba Village of Batsari Local Government Area in the state, which has left 12 persons dead, and 12 others injured.
Police spokesman, Superintendent Gambo Isah, who made the confirmation in a phone conversation with ait.live said, the injured are receiving treatment at a medical facility.

According to Isah, the bandits numbering over 300, were armed with General Purpose Machine Guns, GPMGs, and Rocket-Propelled Grenade, RPGs, when they attacked the village on Saturday night.
The police image maker further said the bandits had on arrival at the village, started shooting sporadically into the air, after which they looted many shops and rustled some domestic animals.
He revealed that joint security operations which included the military, police, and air force are ongoing to deal with the situation, adding that investigation is in top gear to arrest the perpetrators.
Meanwhile, a bandit attack had occurred at about 9:am in the heart of Kankara town Sunday morning, where the bandits rustled 2 bulls used for agricultural purposes.
The bandits while fleeing the town dared the residents to follow them to recover the bulls.
