Katsina Banditry: Batsari area council Friday prayer imam killed as bandits launch fresh attack

As Muslim faithful prepare to mark the Eid-el Kabir celebration Friday, 31st July, bandits have reportedly launched fresh attack on Batsari Area Council killing the council’s Friday prayer imam, Liman Tukur.

This is according to a source who confirmed it to AIT from the area.

Though the circumstances that led to the attack is still sketchy as at the time of filing this report, the source said the late imam was killed in the main town of Batsari.

The police are however yet to react to this development as the command spokesman Gambo Isah said, he will get details from the DPO and make information available soon.
