In a bid to ensure maximum protection of lives and property against terrorists, Katsina State Commissioner of Police, Idris Dabban, held a town hall meeting with stakeholders from Jibiya, Batsari, Batagarawa, and Kurfi Local Government Areas, on Tuesday and discussed the security challenges affecting their
communities.
Those in attendance include Local Government Chairmen, Districts Heads, Ward Heads, Religious Leaders and Retired
Senior Police officers, among others.



In a statement after the meeting by the spokesman of the Police, Superintendent Gambo Isah, the Commissioner of Police affirmed that his men, in partnership with other security agencies, are scaling up measures, aimed at decimating terrorism in the state.
He assured the stakeholders of the readiness and commitment of the police and other security agencies, to nip in the bud, any threat to the life and property of citizens in the state.
The Commissioner of Police further urged participants to go back home, and sensitize members of their communities, on the need to partner and cooperate with the police and other security agencies, by providing useful information on terrorists and their informants, which
will be treated with utmost confidentiality.
Isah added that at the end of the meeting, a communiqué was issued, proffering solutions to the identified problems, and an action plan for dealing with the security challenges bedevilling the communities.
