The Federal Government through its National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA) provided five cows to feed 3,600 Internally Displaced Persons in Katsina State this Eid El Kabir.
The five cows were part of hundreds of other varieties of food items and non-food items delivered to the IDPs currently camped at Batsari Model Primary School.
Presenting the relief items, NEMA Assistant Director, Godwin Tepikor, said the gesture was in line with Presidential directive through the office of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.

While acknowledging the difficult situations the IDPs are passing through; Tepkor who represented the Director-General, Air Vice Marshal Muhammadu Muhammed(RTD) said the Federal Government has not forgotten about their plight.

The IDPs, mostly women and children were extremely delighted at the supplies including the 5 cows for the celebration of Eid El Kabir.
