Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari has lifted the ban on Friday prayers and Sunday services imposed as part of measures to stop the spread of Coronavirus in the state with immediate effect.

This is contained in a statement signed by Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Mustapha Inuwa.

The statement says the suspension of the ban was as a result of a meeting held between the state government, religious and traditional leaders and security agents to review the measures taken to contain the spread of coronavirus in the state.

Inuwa further added that, the suspension of the ban is with a condition that, all religious leaders are expected to conduct their sermons in brief with a view to discharging their followers in time under some health and security guidelines.
