As part of activities marking his one hundred days in office, the Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has laid the foundation stone for the construction of what he describes as a world-class dialysis centre, at the General Amadi Rimi Orthopaedic Hospital in Batagarawa Local Government Area of the state.
A statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Muhammed, stated that the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Bishir Saulawa, said the nature of the project, and that the Dialysis Centre, when completed, will be one of the best in Northern Nigeria.
According to Saulawa, a similar health facility will also be established in Funtua for patients who need dialysis services.

He added that, for a long time and before now, the state had only four dialysis machines at the Katsina General Hospital, adding that, by the time the two new dialysis centres are completed, the state will have 16 dialysis machines.
