In a bid to ensure an effective and thorough fight against terrorism in the state, the Governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr Dikko Radda, has donated eight motorcycles to members of the Vigilante groups in Rimi and Kurfi Local Government Areas of katsina state.

He added further that about 1,500 supporters of the PDP defected to the APC from the 2 Local Government Areas.

This is contained in a statement by the Director, Media and Publicity of the APC campaign council, Ahmed Abdulkadir.

According to the statement, Radda made the donation while rounding off his campaign tour in Katsina Senatorial District on Thursday, January 5.

Abdulkadir added that the contribution was made towards assisting the vigilante groups to effectively fight insecurity in the areas reinstating his determination to fight insecurity in the state if elected governor.

He also promised to create job opportunities for unemployed youths, enhance healthcare facilities and improve farming using modern methods.

The spokesman added that the District Head of Rimi, Aminu Nuhu had earlier appealed to Radda to remember communities in Rimi that have no roads, water and electricity if he eventually becomes the state governor.

Radda thereafter received a copy of the Qur’an, a sword and a horse as gifts from the two traditional rulers of Kurfi and Rimi.
