The Katsina State Deputy Governorship candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Muttaqha Rabe has withdrawn from the race
Confirming the development to ait.live, Chairman of the party, Sani Liti, said though both the governorship candidate, Nura Khalil and his deputy, have not made it official, the news is all over social media.
Liti also said he cannot categorically say what went wrong, but the national headquarters of the party has been duly informed and is on top of the situation.
The chairman as at the time of this report said he is currently on his way to Abuja to meet with the national body of the party over the development and will await the duo to officially do what he described as ‘the needful’

Rabe had earlier written to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, about his withdrawal as the deputy governorship candidate of the Katsina NNPP in the 2023 general election but insists that he is still a card-carrying member of the NNPP.
