Police in Katsina State have arrested three men over their involvement in alleged fraud-related activities.
In a statement by the Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Gambo Isah said the trio were arrested for circulating fake Naira notes.
According to the statement, their names are; 26-year-old Anas Lawal, Abdulaziz Wada and Tasi’u Umar.
Isah added that nemesis caught up with Anas Lawal when he was arrested by a team of Policemen on patrol, along the Funtua – Katsina Road, in possession of six hundred thousand fake Naira notes.

The police image maker further said, in the course of the investigation, the suspect confessed to have received one million Naira fake currency from Usman Gombe, now at large, in the company of Abdulaziz Wada.
The suspect according to Isah, further confessed to have sold a bundle of the fake currency to one Tasi’u Nura, at the cost of twenty thousand Naira.
He said efforts are ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspect.
