Following the rampant cases of drug abuse among youths in the society, some school children in Katsina state are calling on both the Federal and state governments to introduce drug education into school curriculum.
The pupils and students who made the call during the just concluded international day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking said the step will ensure a safe society where they can learn to be the future leaders of the country.

It was part of the contribution to a drug-free society, of the Little Angels Schools in Katsina.
They also called on parents as a matter of urgency to desist from giving their wards excess pocket money as a measure to check peer pressure.
The school children also called on the government to empower the NDLEA and enact legislation on the sale of tobacco and illicit drugs within the society.
By putting all the necessary measures in place, the children believe that their future will be secured against drug abuse.
