Katsina State first lady Zakiyya Masari empowers 108 persons living with disabilities

Some persons living with disabilities in Katsina State have expressed gratitude to the wife of the Katsina State Governor, Zakiyya Masari, for providing them with hand-driven tricycles.

The 108 beneficiaries, were drawn from the twelve Local Government Areas of Daura Senatorial District.

While handing the items to them at the Daura Local Government Secretariat, the Katsina State First Lady, Zakiyya Masari, noted that the tricycles will enable the beneficiaries to move around, discover their environment, and find means of livelihood.

She said the gifts will in addition assist, transform and touch the lives of the most vulnerable, to be role models, thereby making a positive impact and meaningful contributions, to Society.

While urging the beneficiaries to make good use of the gesture, Gov. Masari believed that the tricycles will no doubt give a helping hand to the beneficiaries, living with disabilities.

A female beneficiary, Shafa’atu Ibrahim, from Bindawa Local Government Area, expressed gratitude to the state government for the gesture, promising to use the tricycle for her business, and school activities.
