Katsina State Govt. condoles army over death of 3 soldiers

Following the killing of three soldiers of operation Sahel Sanity by Bandits while foiling an attack on Ungwar Doka village of Faskari Area council of Katsina state, the state government has condoled with the Nigerian Army over the incident as well as the gallantry efforts of the troops.

Special Adviser to Governor Aminu Masari on security matters, Ibrahim Katsina who gave the condolence message, added that the government is putting in place institutional measures to sustain the gains of achievements recorded to bring about lasting peace and development to the state.

While condoling with the troops for the losses witnessed as a result of the encounter, Katsina hailed the troops for not only foiling the attack which led to gunning down of Twenty Three bandits with several others escaping with various degrees of wounds, but also, the rescuing of 8 victims including an 8 month old baby held under captivity for about 23 days.

Katsina also noted that the gallant efforts of the troops are yielding positive needed results as most farmers in the affected communities have since returned to their farms to continue their activities, while many displaced persons have also been resettled back to their various communities.
