Katsina State has taken delivery of 92,370 doses of the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine.
Commissioner for Health, Yakubu Danja who was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Kabir Mustapha, Executive Secretary State Primary Health Care Agency, Dr. Shamsudeen Yahaya and other staff of the Agency as well as development partners were at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua International Airport to receive the consignment.
The plane conveying the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine touched down on the runway of the airport at about 8.14pm Thursday night.

Apart from the vaccines, 38 computers, QR code syringes and other items were also received.
The Commissioner further added that, plans are underway to commence the second phase of the Covid-19 vaccination by next week which will target adults of 18 years and above.
