The Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Mustapha Inuwa has confirmed the abduction of his relative and elder brother 78-year-old Kabir Muhammed.
The confirmation was made public through his press secretary , Abdullahi Yar’adua,who said Kabir Muhammed was abducted from his home town in the Danmusa Local Government Area of the state.

Yar’adua while confirming the incident via telephone, said it was contrary to reports circulating in some quarters that the SSG’s children and relatives were abducted.
He said the man was abducted alone, while on his farm on Wednesday, September 1, in Diftau, located in Danmusa Local Government Area.
Though no demands have been made so far, Yar’adua said the matter has since been reported to the security agencies who are on top of the matter.
Danmusa, which is just about an hour drive to Katsina State capital is one on the frontline areas bedeviled by the activities of bandits.
