KEBBI

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris has directed the Ministry of Higher Education to reopen the College of Health Technology, Jega, with immediate effect.

The instructions is sequel to entreaties by the Jega community led by Atiku Bunu in the course of the thank you visit to the Jega local Government.

The institution was closed by the government more than a month ago as a result of violent protest by students.

Atiku Bunu, speaking on behalf of thousands of PDP supporters who defected to the APC, appealed to the Governor to order for the reopening of the College to avoid disruption to the academic calendar of the students.

Bubu who is a close confidant of Senator Muhammad Adamu Alieru, informed Nasir Idris, that the remarkable record of achievement of the governor coupled with his love for the people of Kebbi motivated them to return to the APC to join hands with him to accelerate the pace of development.

Idris added that, “Since assumption of power, the record of achievement of incumbent administration is glaring to see, we have improved the quality of life of our people, the government has carried out massive infrastructural development, including roads and building structures”,

Similarly, Governor Nasir Idris, received another set of PDP defectors to the APC in Alieru Local Government in continuation of his thank you visit to Alieru.

Prominent former PDP members, Abubakar Abba Alieru, younger brother to Senator Muhammadu Adamu Alieru, and former Commissioner for Education, Muhammadu Magawata Alieru, are now bonafide APC members.

Speaking on behalf of Abba Alieru and others, Magawata Aliero says Sanator Muhammadu Adamu Aliero is also on the way to joining A PC.
