The Kebbi State Independent Electoral Commission, (KESIEC), has commenced the distribution of sensitive materials, ahead of Saturday’s local government elections in the state.
The distribution which is taking place at the state’s command of the Nigeria Police, witnessed the presence of the executives of the Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC, and some political party leaders.
Speaking to newsmen, the Commissioner for Information and Communication of the commission, Muhammad Kaura Danhakimi, said the materials would be distributed to the twenty-one local government areas, to ensure the election takes place on schedule.
He also assured those displaced by the recent flood in the state, that arrangements have been put in place for them to vote.

He solicited the support and cooperation of stakeholders, particularly the media and security, to ensure the success of the elections.
