The Kebbi State Independent Electoral Commission (KESIEC) has fixed date for the conduct of local government election for chairmanship and councillorship in the 21 local government areas of the state.
A statement from the KESIEC signed by the chairman Aliyu Mera, made available to journalists in Birnikebbi, indicated that the elections would hold on 31st August, 2024 for the contest of seats for the 21 local government chairman and councillors throughout the state.
The chairman added that nomination forms, contacts and other relevant documents in relation to the election could be obtained from the Secretariat of KESIEC in Birninkebbi, capital of the state.
The statement further said that it is enable political parties, stakeholders and the general public to comprehend and commence all necessary preparation in respect of the forth coming elections.
The commission solicits for support and cooperation of all stakeholders and the public towards the conduct of free, fair, credible and acceptable local government election in the state.
