Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris has vowed to sign the warrant of any informant condemned to death by the Court of Justice.

Nasir Idris visited the villages of Kyebu, Danko-Wasagu Local Government, and Tadurga, Zuru Local Government Areas, where bandits had unleashed mayhem, to commiserate with the communities.

The governor, accompanied by all heads of security agencies in Kebbi, reassured the communities that the federal government has deployed additional logistics and war machinery, to confront the criminals head-on.

He said Armoured Personnel Carriers, APCs, will be deployed to the state.

The governor also said that he has directed that some of the APCs should be stationed at vulnerable points in Zuru Emirate.

Consequently, he said, it has led to significant improvement in security in Zuru Emirate, especially since the advent of his administration.

The governor added that the government shall formulate a new law, to hasten the trial of informants, leading to death sentence or life imprisonment.

He appealed to the communities to expose the informants wherever they may be to safeguard the society.

He also said he shall take any informants arrested directly to the state capital for immediate necessary action.

The monarch, Muhammadu Sani Sami, appreciated the enormity of resources the governor has been expending on security with positive results.
