Kebbi govt spends N600m to refurbish faulty electrical equipment

Kebbi State Governor Abubakar Bagudu has announced that his government has spent six hundred million Naira refurbishing old, faulty electrical equipment.

He said this in Birnin kebbi when he was hosting the Chairman, Board of Directors and top management of Kaduna Electronics, who visited him.

Bagudu, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Babale Umar, said part of the fund was used to also refurbish transformers, to improve and maintain uninterrupted power supply .

Bagudu also stated that his administration has sponsored twenty-five students study electrical engineering.

He requested Kaduna Electronic Distribution Company to absorb them into its services, assuring that they would be useful if engaged.

The Chairman, Board of Directors of Kaduna Electronic Distribution Company, Abba Muhammed, said they were in the state to meet with critical stakeholders and to listen to the complaints of consumers.

The Chairman assured the governor of his support and cooperation with Kaduna Electronic Distribution Company to serve Kebbi State with an uninterrupted electricity supply.
