Kebbi Insecurity: Armed Bandits Kill 2, Kidnapp 3 Others

The suspected armed bandits invaded Kanzanna Village, Tilli District of Bunza Local Government Areas, in Kebbi State Killed two people and kidnapped three others.

The statement by the Police Public Relations Officer Kebbi State, Nafiu Abubakar said the Incident happened on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

 The Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, Chris Wane, swiftly mobilized a combined team of Police Mobile Force, anti-kidnapping, and counter-terrorism units to the scene for an on-the-spot assessment, and they are currently combing the nearby forests, routes and suspected hideouts of the criminals.

The CP, while condemning the attack which resulted to the unfortunate incident, assured families of the victims that, the command is following credible leads and intensifying efforts to track down the assailants and ensure that, the abducted persons are safely rescued and reunited with their families.

In their separate responses, the district head of Tilli, Muhammadu Jabbo Tilli, the Chairman, Bunza LGA, Umar Ahmed, and Member, Kebbi State House of Assembly, Yusuf Abubakar Tilli, thanked the CP for visiting the area promptly and called on the people to assist the police and other security agencies in fishing out the perpetrators of the dastardly attack.
