The Kebbi State Police Command says, one Bello Amakwa of Birnin Kebbi town, has been arrested in connection with the case of using a knife, and stabbing Auwal Umaru on his neck, as a result of an argument.
In the course of the preliminary investigation, the suspect confessed.
The Kebbi State Police Public Relations Officer, Nafiu Abubakar, made it clear in his statement, on behalf of the State Command, that the exhibits used in committing the crime have also been recovered.

The Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Sani, appealed to the youths to always seek redress from the appropriate authorities when aggrieved, and desist from self-help.
He, however, directed the Birnin Kebbi DPO, to immediately transfer the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department, for a thorough investigation and prosecution.
