Kebbi Police Denounces False Publication On Kidnapped Worshippers During Church Service

The Kebbi State Police Command has noted with concern to a fake news narrative circulated by a section of the social media claiming the purpoted invasion of Zagami village in Danko/Wasagu LGA of Kebbi State, on Sunday and abducted several Christian worshipers during church service.

The Command categorically refutes the publication, condemning it as baseless and orchestrated attempt to tarnish the image of the Command and undermine the determination, bravery and professionalism of it’s Officers in their untiring efforts to combat crimes in the State.

A statement Sign by Police Public Relations Office Nafiu Abubakar says, The Command hereby appeals to the public to disregard the rumour and warns those who indulge in this practice, as well as those who spread it to be mindful of its effect not only to the individuals, but also the wider society.

The Command will continue to work with genuine media professionals in enlightening the members of the public on the happenings in the State as well as in combating the scourge of fake news and the danger it posses in our society.
