The Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, CP Bello Sani and heads of other security agencies had an interactive session with traditional and religious leaders, youths, the National Orientation Agency, PCRC, Miyatti Allah, NURTW, NARTO, OKada Riders, the Kebbi Central Market Association and other critical stakeholders at the State Headquarters, Gwadangaji, Birnin Kebbi, ahead of the planned nationwide protests.
CP Bello Sani informed the gathering that the Kebbi State Police Command, deemed it necessary to invite them, with a view to brainstorming, and proffering laudable solutions, on how to prevent a breakdown of law and order in the state.
The CP added that Nigerians have the constitutional right to embark on peaceful protests, for the best reasons known to them, but while exercising their rights, destruction or looting of critical infrastructure will not be tolerated.

The combined heads of security agencies in the state call on all groups planning the peaceful demonstrations to provide details, proposed routes and assembly points, expected during the protest, names and contact details of the leaders and measures to prevent hijacking by criminal elements.
He insists that providing this will enable them to provide adequate security, during and after the protest, design specific measures to avoid conflict, establish clear communication with protest leaders, and minimise the risks of violence and other criminal activities.
